Magna Seating in Excelsior Springs, MO is a JIT Assembly and Foam Manufacturing plant. We are currently recruiting for a Human Resources Generalist.
The successful candidate will be responsible for hiring, onboarding, development, and retention for all new hires, as well as other day to day department tasks.
Role Summary
The HR Generalist will lead the team with respect to hiring, onboarding and retaining talent. They will be the face of the organization and a resource for the employees to go to with questions. They will help the HR team to achieve department metrics such as attendance, retention, training, communication, and dispute resolution. They will help employee morale by tackling all employee issues quickly.
Key Responsibilities
- Development Lead for Supervisor and Team Leads.
- Ensure Hourly and Salary performance reviews are being completed and conducted to the Magna Standard.
- Identify development opportunities to ensure each role has the skill set to obtain mastery of the role.
- Identify training to enhance the toolbox of these roles.
- Recruit and hire all employees and complete onboarding orientation, safety orientation, and benefits meeting.
- Project Champion for the employee suggestion process.
- Project Champion for Employee Opinion Survey.
- Facilitate the development of action plans and keep the responsible departments for each action on task to meet division scores and maintain score once target is achieved.
Key Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of two years human resources experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel with an ability to learn HRIS systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required. Superior verbal, written, and presentation skills are required to effectively communicate with management, employees, co-workers and corporate personnel. Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA and related state and federal regulations required.
Additional Information
Must be flexible to work into 2nd shift when needed.
