Job Summary:Provide support in functional areas of Human Resources to employees and ECR team, ensuring goals of the organization, as well as compliance with Federal, State and Local laws. Emphasis in Recruitment, Engagement, Record Maintenance, and Training
Job Duties: Duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Recruiting of hourly positions
Complete background checks on candidates
Facilitate new hire orientation and follows up all new hire paperwork is completed
Ensure legal compliance of Local, State and Federal laws by monitoring and maintaining records as required
Complete and process necessary employee action forms
Assist in audits that monitor compliance with HR Polices and Procedures
Serve as a point person for employee questions
Support for Benefit Administration
Assist in communication, enforcement and administration of company policies
Provide reports on Human Resource data as needed to departments KPI’s
Maintains historical Human Resource records by filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records
Assist in management of attendance program
Maintain employee health benefit programs with enrollment, ensures employee changes are completed, termination of employees no longer participating
Administer and aid in planning of morale activities
Manage site recognition incentive program including communications, inventory management, and execution.
Assist in meeting department’s budget, expense approval from ECR Manager
Support Leave of Absence requests for employees
Perform other duties as required
Required Competencies & Knowledge: Knowledge of:
Working understanding and/or knowledge of Federal, State and local laws and how they apply to the organization
Working understanding and/or knowledge of Recruiting
Working understanding and/or knowledge of Benefit Administration
Working understanding and/or knowledge of Payroll
Working understanding and/or knowledge of Employee and Labor Relations

Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Ensure collaborative relationships with industry, trade, other associations, regulatory agencies and Hearthside staff.
Lead ‘best in class’ behaviors with focus on safety, quality, and policy focus
Proficiency in: MS Office Suite, (Kronos and ADP are pluses)
Work Environment:
Work is primarily done in an office setting.
Infrequent production environment exposure which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, fork lifts, and fluctuations in temperature.
Physical Requirements:
Sitting at a work station for extended periods of time
Stand, walk, climb stairs on an infrequent basis
Must be able to lift 20 pounds on an infrequent basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree Human Resources-related field and/or equivalent work experience.
At least 1 year experience as an office or administrative assistant preferably in an HR setting.
