Overview
Under general supervision, responsible for day to day administration of policies and programs covering several or all of the following: recruiting, compensation and benefits, training, employee and labor relations, safety and personnel research for a specific business/program unit or corporate functional group. As a strategic partner, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) aligns business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The HRBP serves as a hands-on HR representative to management on Human Resource related issues. Successful HRBP will act as an employee champion and change agent. HRBP assesses and anticipates HR related needs. Communicating needs proactively with various departments of our HR department, HR Leadership and business management. The HRBP seeks to develop integrated and coordinated solutions with HRBP’s in other business units. The HRBP is a hands-on HR expert and formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business units financial position, its’ mid and long range plans, its culture and its objectives. NOTE: This is a matrix position between HR and Operations and as such, constant communication is required between the two functional areas.
Responsibilities
- Interviews candidates produced via AltaMed recruitment processes.
- Assists in the implementation and dissemination of human resource policies and procedures.
- Counsels and coaches employees/supervisors to resolve employee relations and performance issues.
- Assesses employee training needs and, working with the training department. May develop and deliver training programs.
- Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning.
- Consults with HR subject matter experts in all but the most routine situations.
- Assists with the implementation of the union free strategy that includes educating supervisors and routinely auditing workplace conditions and employees attitudes.
- Assists in the preparation of Succession plans.
- Conducts exit interviews.
- Anticipates HR needs within the business unit and takes coordinated steps to meet them.
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
- Recommends and assists in the development of terms and conditions for new hires, promotions, transfers.
- In conjunction with Legal (as required), investigates complaints of discrimination or harassment; recommends corrective action if appropriate.
- Provides HR Policy guidance; requesting interpretation from corporate.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources management or a related field or equivalent professional HR experience plus a minimum of two years HR experience required; coupled with a working knowledge of at least one human resource discipline including employment, compensation practices, organizational analysis, employee and union-free relations, performance management, federal and state employment laws and/or training and development.
- Relevant Healthcare industry experience and a PHR or SPHR certificate a plus.
- Bi-lingual Spanish/English a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $81,120.00 - $124,800.00 per year
