Role Overview

Supervises Housekeeping staff and overall functions of the department. Responsible for ensuring that the community is cleaned and maintained in accordance with applicable standards and directives set by management. Maintains inventory and ordering of appropriate supplies. Oversees training of staff.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and schedules the cleaning of resident rooms and common areas. Assign personnel to specific task in accordance with daily work assignments.
• Ensures supplies are ordered and logged. Works within budgetary guidelines.
• Assists in interviewing, hiring, training, motivating, and evaluating staff. Orient and train new housekeeping department personnel.
• Maintains and updates all MSDS sheets on cleaning chemicals.
• Demonstrates the ability to listen actively and evaluate social situations in an objective, consistent and fair manner. Functions independently with integrity, flexibility and works well with residents, personnel, and support agencies.

Qualifications

• Housekeeping and previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience supervising other employees and working as a part of a team.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts is required.
