Housekeeper

Housekeepers work at various locations around the hotel grounds, including guest rooms, public spaces, restrooms, lobbies, laundry, and linen rooms. Duties include efficiently and thoroughly cleaning various locations, as listed above, as directed by the housekeeping supervisor/s, maintaining housekeeper carts, folding linen, removing trash, and informing the supervisor immediately when clean rooms are ready for inspection. Report safety and maintenance issues inside guest rooms to supervisor. Report guest problems or issues to supervisor as observed. Associates will work in a team atmosphere coordinating issues and assisting Housekeeping, Maintenance and Management.

Wages:

Hourly Wage: $17 per hour

Eligible for Tips: Yes

Bonus: Housekeepers are eligible for a performance-based bonus of up to $1.50 for every hour worked from Memorial Day Monday, May 30-Labor Day Sunday, September 4; must work a minimum of 200 hours. The associate must work until the date of commitment, agreed to at the interview. The final bonus amount is dependent on work performance.

Qualifications & Duties:

• Housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
• Able to work with industrial cleaning supplies and chemicals.
• Efficiently and thoroughly clean rooms & maintain the good appearance of the hotel property.
• Enthusiastic, professional, courteous, positive attitude with guests and coworkers.
• Must have an intermediate understanding of English required.
• Able to take direction and correction from Supervisor with respect.
• Timeliness is required as well as adherence to grooming standards.
• Availability to work weekends, especially during the summer season.
• Must be able to stand, stoop or stretch for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and/or push 25 lbs.
