Job description

We are a new extended stay property located NE Colorado Springs. We are in search of a maintenance Tech that is self motivated but most importantly is a team player. You would be expected to maintain our beautiful property as well as assist with other departments in things that they need done.

You will perform preventative maintenance tasks such as painting, basic plumbing repair, basic electrical repair, filter changing, pool maintenance, and landscaping and assisting with housekeeping to maintain the new condition of our rooms.

Following an established preventative maintenance program, you will complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists documenting the activity related to repairs, safety and security conditions.

Responsibilities

• Survey buildings and maintain mechanical systems to ensure they are appealing to our guests and consistent with health and safety standards
• Hiring and training any needed staff for the department
• covering any or all shifts that are not covered
• Perform basic electrical maintenance. (replace light bulbs, fixtures and switches.)
• Maintain ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
• Maintain HVAC and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
• Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, etc.)
• Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
• Assist in delivering excellent hospitality

Skills

• Proven experience as maintenance technician
• Basic understanding of electrical and plumbing systems
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
• High school diploma or equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.50 - $21.00 per hour
