Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Houseperson's to join our exceptional team at a competitive pay rate ($15-17/HR DOE) plus benefits (PTO, Vacation, Holiday and Health Insurance) for Full-Time associates.

The Houseperson’s responsibilities include but are not limited to maintaining the guest corridors, elevators, working areas, guestrooms and the hotel premises in general and in a clean and orderly manner. The houseperson is also responsible for delivering items to guest rooms (luggage, irons, coffee, etc.).

Essential Functions

• Cleaning rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and/or a carpet shampoo machine.
• Cleaning rooms, hallways and restrooms.
• Washing walls and ceiling as well as moving furniture and turning mattresses.
• Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing and polishing the floors.
• Dusting and polishing any metalwork.
• Collecting soiled linens for laundering.
• Receiving linen supplies from floor laundry shoots.
• Maintaining the housekeeping carts and keeping fully stocked at all times.
• Removing trash collected by the room attendants promptly throughout their shifts.
• Walking all assigned floors at the beginning and end of the shift to collect any trash, soiled linens, or other items such as newspapers or newspaper bags.
• Picking up clean linen and refilling the par stock of linen on each floor pantry.
• Refilling the par stock of guest amenities and supplies on each floor pantry.
• Helping the room attendants with the heavy lifting when deep cleaning rooms.
• Cleaning all of the public areas accordingly while following department standard operating procedures.
• Removing soiled linens and trash from the pool side and any other service area as well as taking to the appropriate locations according to procedure.
• Assisting the room attendants with placing bed boards, rollaway beds, extra bedding etc.
• Reporting any missing or lost and found articles, damage or merchandise problems to the housekeeping supervisors.
• Responding at all times in a friendly, helpful manner to all guests and other co-workers.
• Complies with attendance rules and is available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.
• Physical Mobility and stamina required.
• Ability to follow instructions
• Detail-oriented
• Professional attitude is required
• Ability to work independently.
