Schedule: Full Time, 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday
Responsibilities
The Home Care Biller performs billing and authorization duties as needed, processes information of a confidential nature, and acts as a liaison person between patient/family and home care staff.Commercial Billing Responsibilities:
- Reviews patient billing information prior to billing each patient invoice.
- Tracks late payments and re-bills as needed.
- Reviews patient documentation to ensure billing integrity prior to submission of patient claim as needed.
- Receives all insurance incoming checks. Prepares report on deposits for GVH Accounting Department.
- Processes all credit card payments.
- Credits insurance/patient pay payments to patient accounts and reconciles.
- Prepares patient pay statements.
- Prepares and sends billing for collections.
- Other administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:- High school diploma/GED.
- Over 1 to 3 years of billing experience required.
- Over 6 months to 1 year of secretarial experience preferred.
