What you’ll be doing:
As the Healthcare Construction Project Superintendent you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the construction project and ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client. The successful candidate will have a strong background in healthcare construction and possess excellent leadership and organizational skills. You will be working closely with your designated Project Manager to take projects from pre-construction through completion. The work is primarily healthcare related with emphasis on interior renovations (hospital and medical office buildings). Some of the projects will involve the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA).
Most of our work is negotiated or design-build where field experience and practical know-how is a must. You will be expected to “fill in the blanks”, “ask the right questions” and “proactively look ahead” to make projects successful. Our projects move quickly and are fast-paced so open-mindedness, flexibility and being able to roll with the punches is a must!

You’ll be working with seasoned Project Managers, Foremen and Project Supervisors to complete a variety of projects; large & small, simple & complex, short duration (1 wk) & long (8+ mo).
Most of the work falls within the Wellington and West Palm Beach, FL area. On occasion, working outside of that radius is warranted and travel will be required. However, we strive and prefer to work locally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall project schedule, ensuring that all milestones are met on time.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, subcontractors and vendors, to ensure that project specifications are met.
- Manage and supervise all onsite construction activities, ensuring that work is being performed to the required quality standards and within budget.
- Maintain and update project logs, including submittals, RFIs, change orders and daily reports.
- Conduct daily meetings with the project team to review project status, schedule and budget.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor the progress of the project and report regularly to the Project Manager.
- Ensure that all project documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide regular updates to the client on the status of the project.
- Manage project close-out activities, including punch lists, commissioning and turnover.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field -or- equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in healthcare construction.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of construction practices and techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
- Experience with Procore software is a plus.
- Experience with the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) regulations is a plus.
