Job Title: Guest Services & Driver – Airport

Reports to: El Paso Airport Coordinator

Location: El Paso Airport

Terms: Part-time to full-time

Rate: $15/hr

Schedule: Thursday – Sunday; 2-8PM (may flex up to 40 hours per week)

About the Role: The Airport Guest Services & Driver team member is responsible

for supporting refugee guests traveling through the airport. The role

is predominantly interpersonal within the scope of daily operations.

Responsibilities: Relevant tasks include, but may not be limited to:

• Welcoming and assisting migrants traveling through the airport, regardless of their originating Hospitality Center.
• Distributing, and tracking distribution of, material goods to migrants.
• Collaborating with all stakeholders – including migrants, other team members, organizations, and airport personnel – to assist with migrant’s onward movement and ensure success of the overall operation.
• Take on other duties as necessary or assigned by the El Paso Airport Coordinator.

Candidate Requirements:

The following requirements are necessary for this position:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Minimum three (3) years of full- time work and/or volunteer experience
• Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
• Conversationally in English, written and verbal
• Conversationally proficient in Spanish and/or a language other than English, written and verbal (preferred)
• Culturally competent and invested in building relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Ability to maintain a variety of professional relationships
• Comfortable speaking to and directing crowds
• Familiarity with group dynamics and working a team-oriented collaborative environment
• Strong initiative
• Ability to manage and balancing priorities
• Flexible; ability to adjust to changing circumstances

• Additional
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check
• Current driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Completed COVID-19 vaccination and booster(s)

• Ability to work comfortably for a faith-based employer, as Border Servant Corps is a ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America
