Recra are working in partnership with a leading global business who are a specialist within heavy engineering, they are keen to recruit a Group Warranty Manager to join their vibrant team at their branch in Leicester!

Purpose of the role:
Always ensuring the effective management of all departmental and/or customer warranty claims
Maximising warranty claim efficiency at all times
To achieve monthly Financial targets as set out in the budget

Responsibilities in the role:
  • Build and document knowledge about the customer business and technical setup on an as and when basis
  • Verification of parts and engineers labour times booked to warranty job cards
  • Processing and monitoring all warranty claims with relevant documentation to the manufacturer
  • Liaising with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure claims are processed efficiently and accurately. And visiting them, as and when required, to discuss rejected warranty claims
  • Maintaining accurate records of all warranty claims, including financial data
  • Providing support and advice to the dealership’s service team regarding warranty issues
  • To input repair order codes, operational codes and warranty codes onto a database link.
  • To update the in-house warranty database system with warranty credit notes and report to the data to the Product Support Director.
  • To monitor the warranty database to control outstanding warranty debt, across the Group.
  • To produce a month-end report which details all outstanding warranty invoices.
  • To liaise effectively with the Depot Managers regarding any overpayments / underpayments of warranty and to seek authorisation before writing off any amounts on the ledger.
  • To ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times
  • To ensure all a high level of accuracy when submitting warranty claims to ensure the correct claiming of work is completed, within the allocated timeframes.
  • Undertake other duties as directed commensurate with the level of the job function

Essential skills for the role:
  • You will have experience in a similar role within the warranty/returns area field.
  • Advantageous to have a technical background from manufacturing or engineering experience.
  • The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing and developing internal and external relationships.
  • You will have a positive and committed working demeanour to add value and motivate and lead a small team.
  • You will be a natural problem solver with the ability to anticipate and highlight issues.
  • The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate effectively across a range of audiences both orally and in writing.
  • You will have an excellent administrative skill set with strong IT skills across Microsoft packages (Word/Excel/Outlook).
  • An exceptionally organised professional with the ability to multi-task

Hours:
  • Monday to Friday - 8am-5:30pm with 60mins lunch

Salary:
  • Negotiable
