Full-Time, Permanent position.
As an educator at Bay Path RVTHS you will be expected to provide rigorous instruction to the diverse population of all students in your classroom. You will be expected to align your teaching to the district and state curriculum; to regularly assess students for learning comprehension and to modify your teaching to ensure that students are learning; to provide a classroom that is conducive to the learning needs of all students, especially students who are learning English and students with disabilities.
Being an educator at Bay Path will require that you have patience, perseverance, creativity, excellent content knowledge, and a true desire to prepare all students for successful lives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.Implement a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests and abilities of students.
2.Coordinate daily instruction with the existing Graphic Communications instructional team.
3.Deliver effective instruction with a strong focus on the Massachusetts Vocational Technical Curriculum Graphic Communications Frameworks and performance standards to students of varying abilities and skill levels.
4.Responsible for effective techniques of classroom management/discipline and behavior reinforcement.
5.Fulfill department teaming roles such as a mentoring partnership with a professional status colleague.
6.Participate effectively in school-wide task forces and academic-vocational integration activities.
7.Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
8.Performance of other job-related duties as assigned.
WORK YEAR: In accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Bay Path Teachers Association and Southern Worcester County Regional Vocational School District.
SALARY: Appropriate step on teachers’ salary schedule.

Opened in 1972, Bay Path serves students from Worcester County communities including Auburn, Charlton, Dudley, North Brookfield, Oxford, Paxton, Rutland, Southbridge, Spencer, and Webster. Students are prepared with a broad range of knowledge and job skills necessary to excel in a wide variety of careers. We offer a strong academic curriculum, which gives students the opportunity to immediately enter the workplace or go onto post secondary education. We also provide a guidance staff to prepare and assist each student as they enter the Bay Path experience. Students can also enjoy many social activities including sports and cultural programs.
Bay Path is not just for high school students; we also offer night classes with hundreds of courses to choose from. Our nursing class is a full-time, Monday through Friday, post-graduate program. Practical Nurses are prepared for careers in a variety of heath care settings.

Job Requirements
- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Massachusetts Chapter 74 Licensure in Graphic Communications or be eligible to attain a preliminary vocational technical teacher license.
2.High School Diploma or the equivalent.
3.Five years of full-time employment experience directly related to graphic communications.
4.SEI Endorsement OR ability to achieve SEI endorsement within one year of hire.
5.Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Massachusetts Chapter 74 Professional Licensure in Graphic Communications.
2.Experience providing instruction in the areas of Graphic Communications.
3.Advanced educational preparation in the area of Graphic Communications and/or teaching.
4.Experience in the area of Bilingual/Bi-cultural education.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience preferred
- High School/Trade School degree preferred
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
