Grant Support Associate – Project Employee P/T
Job description
William Paterson University invites applications for the part-time position of Grant Support Associate in the Office of Sponsored Programs. The position entails approximately 20 hours per week at $25/hour and begins May 2023.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Sponsored Programs at William Paterson University, the Grant Support Associate will provide support to the administrative team within the Office of Sponsored Programs, with an emphasis on post-award activities under the Grants Manager. The position may also provide support to the Executive Director and the OSP team for activities related to operations and business processes within the office.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assists the Grants Manager with the compilation of data for federal, state, local, and private funded grant reporting.
- Assists the Grants Manager with the initiation of new projects, including the compilation and dissemination of information for Business Managers, Principal Investigators, and the Post Award Administrators.
- Assists the Grants Manager with various post-award projects as assigned.
- Assists the Grants Manager with Post-award administration within the Workday system.
- Assists the OSP Team with the input of sponsored data entry for proposals, IRB, award set-ups and data maintenance of the pre-award database management system as assigned.
- Assists in the drafting and dissemination of sub-award data for subcontract agreements.
- Assists as needed in the compilation of pre-award data for pre-award proposal submissions.
- Performs other duties as assigned that are appropriate for the position.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree or two (2) years relevant experience to include professional experience in a variety of aspects of administration and business processes; preferred experience with grant management.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in clarifying and resolving issues of concern within a sponsored program environment.
- Attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use various programs within the Microsoft suite of programs
