Job description
This position shall serve as a college mentor at the Summer Migrant Youth Leadership Institute (SMYLI) from July 21st to July 31st, 2023 at the University of Denver. Duties shall include mentoring of secondary-aged students for the purpose of encouraging migrant students to set and pursue postsecondary goals. The mentor will participate in-group discussions, delivering presentations, team-building activities and classroom activities all under the supervision of the SMYLI staff and licensed teaching and counseling professionals. The mentor will participate in a SMYLI evaluation after the program is over. The mentor will work approximately 125 hours during the contract dates.
