Job Description:

The Herald Advocate is seeking a full time, General Manager. This position will be responsible for overseeing the newsroom, advertising and daily business operations at the Herald Advocate and Pee Dee Life.

Responsibilities:

· Oversee content for our print and digital platforms, magazine, and other niche publications

· Manages, supports and leads existing content development in the newsroom, advertising and daily business operations

· Develops and strives to achieve new monthly sales goals

· Applicants need a collaborative management style, a passion for local news, strong editing and writing skills and the ability to drive significant enterprise journalism.

· Networking with the community and interacting with the public are both necessary functions of this position

· Our next GM should have a demonstrated track record of success in growing business, managing creative people, and a commitment to living and working in South Carolina.

· Strong technology skills, and excellent interpersonal communications are required.

Skills:

· Must have a minimum of 5 years of progressive management or leadership experience in sales, marketing and or management experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
