Sodexo Senior Living is currently seeking a General Manager 5 for our dining operations at Lions Gate, an upscale continuing care retirement community located in Voorhees, New Jersey. This is a high end kosher facility with 6 dining rooms, a bistro and high volume catering.The ideal candidate will be proficient in financial leadership, fluid in decision making and excel in ensuring client, customer service/satisfaction that both meets and exceeds expectations. The General Manager will report to the District Manager and manage 6 managers.
The successful candidate will:
- have oversight of daily dining operations serving approximately 300 residents;
- Interface closely and daily with residents, client executive level leadership and client board members;
- control and ensure company and client financial targets and goals are achieved;
- continuously update industry knowledge on current food trends and ingredients, making sure they lead the way in innovation and originality;
- ensure that the highest possible standards of food handling and preparation are achieved.
Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who:
- have 5 years food service management experience with a background in fine dining, retail, restaurants, country club and/or Senior living environment;
- kosher experience is needed;
- a dietary manager certification (CDM/CFPP) is needed or must be obtained within one year of hire date;
- a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
- work history demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization;
- possess the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and exhibit a passion for a high-level of customer service;
- have a strong financial acumen and a good level of computer literacy;
- are enthusiastic, confident and warm;
- have a positive approach to tasks with a can-do attitude and impeccable attention to detail.
