Job description
The George E. Booth Inc., a manufacturer's representative partner of Endress+Hauser Inc., is a family-owned and operated industrial automation sales company looking to hire a new Solutions Project Manager in Indianapolis, IN. The Solutions Project Manager is responsible to plan, direct and coordinate operations of projects from locating projects, cost engineering bids, to managing the production and seeing project to completion while maintaining customer relationships by performing the following duties.
Role + Responsibilities
Confer with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors or design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints or construction problems
Plan, schedule or coordinate project activities to meet deadlines
Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports or cost tracking reports
Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, environmental or other regulations
Negotiate project specifications, develop operational strategies, plans and procedures
Collect historical cost data to estimate costs for current or future projects
Consult with clients, vendors, other department personnel and supervisors to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues
Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials and labor estimates
Analyze business or financial data by assessing the cost effectiveness of products, projects or services
Direct and coordinate activities of business concerned with project production, pricing, sales and/or distribution
Direct administrative duties directly related to projects and assign specific duties to colleagues
Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of company products
Sell products requiring extensive technical expertise and support for installation and use
Plan and modify product configurations to meet customer needs
Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements
Prepare and deliver technical presentations to explain products and/or services to customers and prospective customers
All other duties as assigned by supervision
Qualification + Profile
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s Degree with 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience highly preferred
Automation Solutions Industry experience highly preferred
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents and bid specifications required
Attention to detail, organization skills and ability to work independently and with a team necessary
Results-driven personality
Strong communication skills whether written, verbal or otherwise required, especially using moderately complex terminology and concepts
