Gardener – Part-time

Thirwood Place in South Yarmouth is looking for a talented person to fill a part-time Gardener position at our award-winning senior living facility.

Locally owned and operated, Thirwood Place provides a work environment where team members are respected and encouraged to grow.

As a Gardener, you will play a key role in making Thirwood Place a great place to live and work! The Gardener position is a member of the Maintenance staff working directly with the Operations Manager to provide world class service to our residents. Our team members are diligent, energetic, devoted, and happy with incredible attention to detail. You’ll play a key role in the upkeep of the property.

Gardener responsibilities include:

• Take pride in your property, make sure it always looks it's best!

• Responsible for the overall upkeep of the property landscape and the exterior image which includes cleaning of the driveways, sidewalks and maintenance of property flowerbeds and plants .

• Responsible for providing world class customer service by addressing the concerns and needs of our residents in a friendly and professional manner.

• Be a helper! You may be called upon to the Maintenance staff on other projects as needed.

• Minimum of a high school diploma

• Previous grounds experience.

• Must be able to lift 70lbs.

• Ability to understand & follow instructions.

• Able to think and work with little supervision.

• Must be drug free.
• Must be well groomed.

• Must be able to walk up to 5 miles a day.
