Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Garage Door Apprentice to join our team. In this role, you will assist experienced garage door technicians with installations, repairs, and maintenance of various types of garage doors. The Garage Door Apprentice will be responsible for ensuring that all garage door installations and repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist in installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of garage doors, including automatic and manual doors, overhead doors, and sectional doors.

Learn to diagnose and troubleshoot garage door issues and recommend appropriate solutions.

Assist in replacing worn or damaged parts, such as springs, cables, rollers, and tracks.

Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times, ensuring that work areas are free from hazards and that all tools and equipment are used properly and safely.

Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.

Keep the work area clean and organized, including the company vehicle.

Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer concerns and answering any questions they may have about the work being performed.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces

Good communication skills and a professional demeanor

Basic knowledge of hand and power tools

Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced technicians

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Availability to work weekends and after-hours when needed

No prior experience required, but mechanical or construction experience is a plus.
