Full Time Special Educator Position | Calumet City, IL | 2023/24 SY

If you are passionate about making a profound, daily impact on students with Special Needs, we are interested in hiring you. We need both Self-Contained and Resource teachers that want to make sure their students are given every opportunity to stand out and receive the service they need!


Responsibilities:

• Implementing, monitoring, and providing updates on student IEP
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other support staff to meet the unique needs of each student
• Assess and evaluate student progress, and modify instruction as needed
• Participate in departmental meetings, in-service training, and staff development opportunities
• Maintain accurate and complete records of student progress and attendance

Job Details:

• Caseload: Elementary of Middle School
• Resource or Self-contained, based on preference and interview
• 23/24 school year
• Full time (30+hrs/week)

Requirements:

• State of IL certification/endorsement in Special Education
• PEL in IL
• LBS1 in IL
• Strong classroom management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
