Title: Fry Cook/Prep Cook

Reports to: Kitchen Managers & Assistant Kitchen Manager

Summary:
The Fry Cook/Prep Cook will help complete the Culinary Team by being solely responsible for the fry station on the kitchen line based on experience and training. The candidate will participate in all culinary training and any possible development of menu items for the 90+ seat establishment. He/she will assist with compliance on all aspects of health and safety regulations by ensuring adherence to sanitary and safe food handling guidelines.

Job Duties:

  • Develop ability to manage multiple stations simultaneously while maintaining high levels of culinary excellence.
  • Use the deep fryers for various foods, clean all equipment at the end of the shift.
  • Bread and cook chicken, fry foods, run and clean fryers, and clean coolers.
  • Ensures consistent food preparation and the highest caliber of food presentation, taking advantage of all opportunities to improve upon both, and ensuring communication to the

Kitchen Managers, Assistant Kitchen Manager or Lead Line Chef.

  • Ensure that cleanliness and hygiene is maintained in the various kitchen areas on a daily basis and that all food products are stored in accordance with culinary regulations.
  • Participate in the production and plating of all menu items while maintaining the best quality food style possible.
  • Assist with menu ideas when needed, developing, and recommending recipes, for the use of other staff, to create a consistent and quality food product.
  • Ensure food is stored in appropriate containers, labeled, and rotated to ensure high standards of freshness, minimizing waste and maximizing quality.
  • Strive to advance your knowledge, skills and abilities with the Culinary Team
  • Participate with the safe working environment and be Health and Safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining and improving a safe work environment.
  • Carry out other related duties which may be assigned from time to time.
  • Ability to lift 50lb required and participate in the Safety Committee if needed
  • Overtime as required based on the seasonal aspects of the region

Salary/Benefits:

Competitive hourly pay based on experience and culinary education. Full-Time status (30 hrs or more) includes Health & Dental Insurance options, 401K & Vacation program.
