Tapestry Public Charter School seeks a motivated individual with strong a propensity for details and a willingness to provide excellent service to staff, parents and students of the school. Tapestry serves approximately 300 students from 6th through 12th grade.

Job Summary
This position is responsible for managing a wide variety of student and curriculum information, and providing assistance to guests, parents, students and staff. This work involves direct responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance of the student database and records, and working closely with staff to ensure record accuracy.

Essential Functions:

- Support the mission of Tapestry Public Charter
- Responsible for general office tasks such answering phones, taking/delivering messages, sorting mail
- Greet all incoming visitors/guests and ensure appropriate sign in/out procedures are followed
- Performs record keeping and general clerical functions for the purpose of providing information and/or materials as needed
- Processes documentation and materials for the purpose of disseminating information to appropriate parties for action
- Assists other personnel for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities
- Schedules various activities for the purpose of assisting in meeting staff needs and efficiently utilizing personnel, equipment and facilities
- Administers first aid and prescription medications to students for the purpose of providing emergency or necessary care when the School Nurse is absent
- Maintains inventory of supplies and materials for the front offices
- Maintains a variety of computerized and manual records, files, and department databases
- Responds to inquiries from a wide variety of internal and external parties
- Supports leadership for the purpose of assisting with their administrative functions
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal or Assistant Principal
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required
A minimum of 3 years clerical/secretarial experience required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to handle minor student problems and work with students, parents and staff members
- Must be able to work effectively with District and school personnel, parents and students
- Proficiency in Google and Microsoft, especially Google Sheets and Excel
- Knowledge of basic office procedures
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to compose and compile correspondence
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must be detailed and task oriented
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Physical Demands:
Routine physical activity associated with normal office and school environment
May have to lift up to 20 pounds
