Wineside features a wine bar with over 100 wines to taste from state of the art wine preservation systems; a boutique grocery store including cheeses, cured meats, and pastas; and a restaurant serving a variety of appetizers and light entrees.
Wineside has a Top Ten Liquors located right next door, allowing customers to purchase the wine and spirits they love with ease.
Job Summary:
The Front of House Manager/Wine Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation and management of the restaurant. They are responsible for supervising front of house staff.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Wine Management
- Make recommendations to customers for food and wine pairings
- Lead staff in wine training and tastings, ensuring employees are confident in recommending and explaining wine
- Work with grocery store and liquor store to understand products to highlight and sell according to goals
Front of House Management
- Act as the face of Wineside – demonstrate incredible hospitality, service, and professionalism
- Work the floor as appropriate to visit and talk with important customers – ensure customers feel recognized and valued
- Manage a team of front of house staff including scheduling, training, and general supervision
- Provide excellent customer service to guests and excellent leadership to employees
- Oversee all opening and closing duties of the restaurant is completed correctly and that cleanliness and maintenance are maintained
- Responsible for daily deposits, and the correct operation of the POS systems
- Balance all daily and nightly cash drawers and POS
- Maintain and inventory correct levels for front of house items and those used within the restaurant
- Handle guest feedback
- Enforce and monitor all health, safety, and sanitation standards in their area
Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:
- 5+ years’ of restaurant or bar experience, preferably in a high-end, high volume establishment
- Wine certified strongly preferred (WSET or Court of Sommelier)

- Prolonged periods of walking and/or standing
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at a time
