(Lead Intelligence Network Engineer/Cybersecurity Analyst Journeyman)

Position Overview
The Intelligence Network Engineer serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Intelligence Development Program and provides support to allied/partner nation military personnel in conducting research and comprehensive reviews and assessments of their current Tactical, Operational, and Strategic level intelligence network and database systems to prepare for and enhance future intelligence networks and databases designs. The Network Engineer will provide Train, Advise, Assist, and Mentor (TAAM) support to the allied/partner nation ministry of defense directorates/offices, joint staff directorates/offices, and Service (or Service Component) directorates/offices in various military intelligence related fields to develop this intelligence architecture that further enhances and develops their capability and meet requirements that will strengthen the skills required to successfully perform mandated or future mission requirements.
Responsibilities / Duties
- Understand approach and support services supporting Fusion Center capabilities for single source and all-source collection elements or analysis and control elements task organized in JIOCs (Joint Intelligence Operations Center) or JICs (Joint Intelligence Center)
- Understand intelligence organizational structure, processes and procedures, all-source and single source analytical applications, and supporting architectural design and systems integration
- Understand the linkages and information lines of communication to connect and support development of intelligence assessments and products at echelon
- Lead planning and/or implementation of initiatives. Design and development of approach, policies, processes
- Facilitate the definition of project tasks, resource requirements, Baselines, Benchmarks and Project Plans
- Resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within projects or initiatives
- Develop methods to monitor project progress and provide corrective action
- Responsible for assembling and/or coordinating staff to build WBS and Schedules
- Obtain input from technical or functional areas to develop solutions and deliverables
- Interact regularly with clients, officers and stakeholders, end users and military organizations to determine needs
- May be required to perform additional position-specific duties in line with those described above
- Understand approach to analyzing foreign cyber threats
- Understand offensive cyber capabilities and intelligence enterprise work
- Provide train, advise, assist, and mentor (TAAM) support
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Network and/or database planning, design, and implementation experience preferably in the Intelligence Enterprise
- Minimum 5-10 years of increased responsibility to include recent necessary military intelligence or similar experience
- Military Field Grade Intelligence Officer (FGO), Warrant Officer, Senior NCO, or equivalent civilian and defense contractor with Intelligence Fusion Center experience at the Corps level or above (Service equivalent), successful J2 or G2 experience at the Division, Corps, Army Service Component Command (or Service equivalent), or Combatant Command J2 (or Intel support) experience (i.e., NORCOM, CENTCOM, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree or applicable work experience and DoD experience in the disciplines mentioned
- Ability to coordinate and work across multiple Allied/Partner Nation Ministry of Defense organizations and various US Department of Defense organizations
- Worked with or worked in Intelligence Organizations establishing intelligence networks and databases
- Produced network solutions including WLAN, MPLS, LAN, firewalls, SD-Access Platforms, and other network hardware appliances
- Knowledge in implementing Cisco Enterprise LAN/WAN solutions
- Knowledge in maintaining LAN, WAN, and architecture of the network as per the business policies/rules
- Knowledge in generating and maintaining virtual private networks, firewalls, and web protocols
- Worked with Cisco ACI (solution, installation, configuration, commissioning, operating, and troubleshooting)
- Worked with Cisco Nexus switches (implementation and troubleshooting)
- Familiar with NOC solutions and ITSM frameworks (network entity, remedy, true Sight, etc.)
Preferred skills & knowledge
- Working knowledge and experience as a JIC or JIOC Chief/Director or served successfully as a J2 or G2 at the Division (Service equivalent) or higher
- FGO/Warrant/SNCO supporting JIC or JIOC Chief/Director and J2 or G2 at the Division (Service equivalent) or higher
- Directed or led an Intel Organization and understands the architecture necessary to build a Defense Level Intelligence Fusion Center
- Service equivalent Intermediate/Senior Developmental Education
- Previous experience in the Middle East region
- Geographic Combatant Command or Service Component Command assignment
- Joint qualified officer
- Staff level work experience at Service, Component, JTF, or Joint Staff levels
Physical demands
- Work is performed in an office environment; requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions. Required to walk in heat/humidity.
- Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 10 pounds occasionally and walk short distances
- Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing: viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading
- Must be able to travel on long international flights and carry travel bags/luggage
