SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE - Fitness Regional (New Orleans/Baton Rouge)The Fitness Regional ensures Orangetheory’s fitness standards are upheld and drives excellence across the Louisiana territory’s fitness staff, in support of all Owners in ( currently) 12 studios. This regional role will be responsible for 1) Coach development and certifications (OTFit training & evaluations); 2) Compliance (Audits); and Program oversight. Studio growth is the key to our success—this role must drive revenue goals with the complete participation of all fitness personnel. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Coach recruitment, certifications, and training (in both fitness & sales).

-OTfit certifications, ongoing education training workshops (CPR and OT modalities)

• Ensure OT standards are being effectively communicated and practiced.

-Frequent visits to every studio to witness coach effectiveness and growth (classes & sales)

• Oversee class & coach schedules and recommend periodic changes based on studio needs.

-Familiarity with MBO Portal and When I Work staff scheduler.

• Coach Development.

-Perform regular evaluations and mentoring of head coaches to ensure fitness team’s development is effective and measurable.

• Lead Continuing Education classes regularly with Head Coaches to further mentor & develop team.

• Host quarterly Regional Fitness workshops

• The Grove Compliance (HQ) requires quarterly audits of all studios in the territory.
• Attend regular marketing events to ensure Fitness staff participation as required.
• Hold weekly Head Coaches meeting (Zoom) and monthly Template Rollouts (2/in-person).
• Know status of equipment repairs and ensure HC’s are on top of needs, orders, parts.
• Review regional Listen360 (daily) to ensure staff & studio management follow-ups.
• Attend all monthly corporate-hosted webinars and complete all Orange University requirements.
• Irregular class coaching to assist with schedule gaps and coach training.

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Self-motivated and driven fitness professional with a top national certification required
• Experience in a Fitness Leadership role with direct reports and extensive fitness training required
• Excellent communication, writing, and organization skills required
• Effective teacher training presenter to small groups, with previous experience in training/mentoring required
• Comfortable with technology and basic IT familiarity (PC skills, MS office, etc.)
• Compliance and enthusiasm for the OT Brand
• Success as a Head Trainer position in a gym is preferred
• Able to work flexible schedules as needed, including early mornings, weekends, and occasional holidays

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Successful completion of the OT Fit Certification
• Minimum 5+ years' experience in a leadership role in the fitness industry
• Minimum of one year as an OTF Fitness Head Coach
• Current nationally accredited personal trainer or primary group exercise certification from one of the following: NSCA-CPT, ACSM, NASM, ACE, AFAA
• Current CPR/AED certification
• College or Vocational Degree in an Exercise Science related field is a plus

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Dotted-line reporting structure for Head Coaches; supervision of fitness coaches in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include support for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding and process-training of fitness staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Position reports to Area Manager and ultimately to Area Representative/Owner.

Ability to read, interpret and convey documents information such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or staff.

OTHER SKILL, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must thoroughly understand heart-rate focused training programs and the science that supports the OTF workouts.

Fitness Coaches are leaders of the Orangetheory workouts. This requires them to be on their feet leading and instructing members for the entirety of the workout. In the weight room, coaches must demonstrate all exercises for members, which can involve bosu balls, medicine balls, dumbbells, TRX and related fitness equipment.

POSITION TYPE
This is a full-time position, which may include weekends and holidays.

TRAVEL
Travel is primarily within the territory and locality of studios during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel should be anticipated on occasion.
