Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and scheduling design documents from the design engineer
- Distributing and filing design documents, specifications, procedures, instructions, and supplier information
- Preparing requisitions for materials and services to be purchased in the field
- Interpreting drawings, specifications and technical requirements as required for field personnel
- Assisting other project departments in planning, scheduling, and controlling the project in accordance with overall project objectives
- Reviewing the budget and assisting Project Controls in preparing definitive estimates on change notices and in issuing a monthly cost status report
- Working with the Quality Group to ensure that all work conforms to approved project requirements and specifications
- Assisting the Quality Group in developing and implementing the Quality Program
- Reviewing design documents for completeness, Constructability, maintainability, and operability
- Coordinating with the client representative to ensure compliance with job requirements and specifications
- Assisting construction supervision in the coordination of contractors
- Preparing and administering requests for information, non-conformance reports, and field instructions
- Organizing and coordinating turnover, commissioning, and start-up operations, and ensuring that these functions are performed as required on the project
- Obtaining as-built information and preparing as-built drawings
- Expediting resolution of design issues
- Recommending and requesting approval of design modifications, as appropriate to accommodate improved cost effectiveness of construction
Qualifications:
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related discipline.
- Strong computer skills, experience with construction and/or engineering automation software is a plus. Field experience is a plus.
- Personal commitment to safety.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
