DoD FIAR Accounting Technician

About the Role:

The candidate will work as the FIAR (Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation) Accounting Technician and will assist DLA (Defense Logistics Agency) by providing support in the areas of stewardship, business process improvement, and audit sustainment initiatives.


Ideal Candidate: the candidate will have:

  • A CDFM and/or experience with DoD Financial Improvement or Audit Remediation, is highly desired.
  • Ability to understand general business operations and follow general financial guidelines and accounting rules.
  • Collects, checks, inputs, and analyzes financial information.
  • Maintains basic financial records and files and prepares simple financial reports and routine presentations.
  • Willingness to perform additional ad hoc duties within area of practice to help drive our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organization's Values.


Experience
The accounting technician has a minimum of eight years of experience.


Education:
Two years of college or an associate degree may be substituted for two years of experience. Four years of college, or a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field, may be substituted for four years of experience.
