AFCO DISTRIBUTION & MILLING
FEED MILL WORKER
Spokane Valley, WA
We are hiring for our second shift position! The mill operates on 4, 10 hours shifts, Monday through Thursday! Three day weekends!
First shift is 4:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
Second shift is 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM.
AFCO Distribution operates one of the region’s premier feed mills in Spokane Valley, WA. The mill manufactures a variety of product lines catering to feed for horses, poultry, and livestock. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Manufacture and inspect feed-related products
- Bag animal feed in a fast-paced production environment
- Identify all ingredients on recipe cards to correctly blend them for each different type of feed and label them
- Assist in the regular maintenance of equipment and premises
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, forklifts and delivery vehicles
- Safely load & unload trucks in a timely manner
- Lift, carry, push and pull up to 80 pounds (occasionally up to 120 pounds with assistance)
- Climb ladders for the purpose of performing routine maintenance & housekeeping
- Maintain a safe and clean working area
- Exhibit an ability to get along with others
- Practice punctual and reliable attendance
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Other duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen (which includes marijuana/THC) as a condition of employment
- Possess a valid driver license with safe driving history
- Proven track record of being safe, dependable and reliable
- Ability to effectively communicate
- Ability to follow directions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
