Job description
POSITION SUMMARY:
Supports and maintains the facilities owned and operated by Alta Mira Specialized Family
Services; including the facility at 1605 and 1615 Carlisle NE, Albuquerque and the Respite Home on 9812 Woodland NE, Albuquerque; coordinates maintenance and other contracts as needed to assure needed upkeep of the property(s); completes general cleanup of the grounds, basic maintenance and repair, and assists with organizational tasks in order to keep the facility in good order.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Position requires walking and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- Frequently lifts up to 50 pounds and carries small objects from waist to chest.
- Must be able use needed maintenance equipment and tools.
- Ability to distinguish telephone rings and to hear and speak clearly over the telephone.
- Regularly needs to bend, stoop and reach.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English.
- Vision and hearing sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
Position Essential Job Functions
- Perform routine checks of HVAC equipment.
- Complete routine work orders.
- Repair caulking on windows as needed.
- Clean roofs and drains as needed.
- Maintain landscaping inside courtyard and on the street and parking lot.
- Paint and patch as needed.
- Mowing courtyard grass.
- Maintain maintenance supplies.
- Change light bulbs as needed.
- Put up or take down shelving as needed.
- Move office furniture as needed.
- Establish routine maintenance schedules as needed.
- Set up and serve as contact for repair work as needed – plumbing/roof/HVAC, etc.
- Assemble office furniture as needed.
- Repair/replace ceiling tiles as needed.
- Make Costco runs as needed.
- Pick up supplies as needed.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
