Spurr Co. is looking to hire an experienced heavy equipment mechanic to inspect, service, and maintain our range of heavy-duty construction equipment. As a mechanic, you will be responsible for driving to the job sites, inspecting engines and equipment, carrying out services, conducting repairs, and providing routine maintenance to the construction fleet. Our job sites range between both commercial and residential housing tracts from Paso Robles to Lompoc with most work in Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo. All employees will receive an evaluation after 90-days of employment to ensure job standards are being met.

Job duties and responsibilities include and are not limited to timeliness and preparedness, following safety rules and protocols while performing job duties, working efficiently and effectively, cleaning up at the end of each day, being a team player and leading by example. To ensure success as a heavy equipment mechanic, you should have proven experience working with heavy machinery, and be able to troubleshoot issues on the job site. Ultimately, a top-notch heavy equipment mechanic can repair and service even the biggest machinery with expert care.

We require experience and knowledge of construction equipment to be able to effectively fix and maintain our fleet of equipment, and ability to work in a fast paced environment. You will need to have your own tools, a clean driving record, minimum of a Class B drivers license (Class A is preferred) and ability and willingness to work 40 hours per week, with the probability of additional hours.
