Exercise Planner I

XVIII ABC Hub and Spoke MTCs provide individual and collective training on Army Mission Command Systems, using a variety of tools and Army fielded systems. These systems are used to support Small Unit Training: Squads through Company, Medium Unit Training: Battalion through Brigade, and Large Unit Training: Divisions and Corps in training environments ranging from Stability and Support Operations (SSO) through Unified Land Operations (ULO).

HOW AN EXERCISE PLANNER I WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Assisting units in the conduct's coordination, planning and development of all levels of Collective Training with the Warfighter: Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming. Plans, Develops, and Executes Mission Command Training Center (MTC) internal, simulation and stimulation-driven events; work under limited supervision; perform duties as assigned. Assist in the efforts in the coordination, planning and development of all levels of Collective Training. Inherent skillsets in a specific Warfighting Function (WfF) will assist units in exercise design.

• Assists unit leadership in planning collective training that will meet their training objectives; identifies any gaps (resource, training, equipment, etc.) and works with the management team to ensure they are filled prior to execution of training.
• Gathers observations based on unit actions during the training event and provides input to unit After Action Reviews (AARs).
• Coordinates logistics for instruction events, including scheduling classes and reserving classrooms.
• Maintain Event Packages for events and track unit progression throughout the Planning, Preparation and Execution phases.
• Updates Event Package documentation as needed to ensure timeliness and relevance of deliverables.
• Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
• Participates in special projects as required.
• Operate Video Teleconference (VTC) equipment as required.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: AA/AS

Required Experience: 3+ Years experience.

Required Technical Skills: Mission Command and Staff time at the battalion and above level preferred.

Security Clearance: Secret

Required Skills and Ability: Planning and coordination, problem solving and communications skills.

Preferred Skills: Mission Command experience and staff time at the battalion and above level and MSEL development experience.

Location: Onsite at Fort Bragg MTC. Normal work schedule is 0730-1630, may require night or weekend work shifts depending on specific training event requirements.

Travel: May require occasional travel (less than 10%)
