Energy Land and Infrastructure (ELI) is a growing regional professional engineering and survey firm focused on civil infrastructure serving the southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions of the country. ELI’s market sector focus is primarily on Energy, Civil Infrastructure, Utilities, Transportation, and Land Development, for private, state, and local government clients. We are corporately based in Nashville, Tennessee with additional offices in Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, and Ohio.

This is an excellent oppertunity to start your Engineering career! On the job and virtual training are available in a team-centered environment. General tasks associated with this position include the following:

• Technical design and drafting in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Coordination and support in the preparation and submission of required permits to comply with federal, state, and local regulations
• Support in developing technical designs or internal process changes to improve efficiency, quality, or performance
• Inspecting facilities or sites to determine if they meet specifications or standards
• Providing engineering support to the project team
• Project task budgeting and implementation management
• Evaluating engineering alternatives and resolving technical issues
• Collaborating with project team including the project manager, design lead, and CAD designers to ensure company standards and best practices are implemented
• Performing routine assignments that require judgement in resolving issues or making recommendations
• Meeting required deadlines while aiming to exceed client expectations
• Client interaction and support
• Survey data processing and database management
• Communicate effectively, both written and oral, with project team and management staff
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures including reporting all unsafe activities
• Utilization of and adherence to Quality Assurance & Quality Control requirements

*Some travel required to participate in client meetings and visit project sites

Education/Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or simular
• AutoCAD Civil 3D: 1+ years (Preferred but not required)
• GIS experience (Preferred but not required)
• Database management
• Experience with pipelines and utilities (Preferred but not required)
• Experience with federal, state, and local permitting (Preferred but not required)
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability and willingness to learn and accept new responsibilities as experience is gained
• Engineer in Training Certificate or ability to obtain
