As a
Team Leader of E-Commerce , no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:
  • Providing direction and supervision of employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking, shipping, and performing services for customers using established policies and procedures
  • Acting as manager in absence of e-commerce management.
  • Assessing inventory and determines priority needs for online sales
  • Informing staff of online changes/adjustments that may impact sales/listing
  • Working with program staff to provide a rewarding and effective training experience for program participants.
  • Relaying stock needs, receiving deliveries, and managing inventory as needed
  • Communicating effectively with the team, immediate supervisors, and Executive team as necessary and appropriate
  • Ensuring listing/shipping goals are met according to established goals.
  • Ensuring that all available sellable products are made available for sale as soon as possible and product flow through the network is maintained.
  • Providing instruction and maintains standards of quality regarding goal attainment and listing.
  • Preparing for scheduled truck deliveries, and load/unload trucks, as necessary.
  • Providing strategic direction to manage product and production activity and anticipate potential issues/problems.
  • Ability to train and evaluate associate performance.
  • Working to maintain a motivated and efficiently trained e-commerce staff
  • Reinforcing education of staff regarding policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Practicing and encouraging safe working conditions for all staff.

a n Team Leader of E-Commerce . But there are a few skills you should have from the get-go:

  • Attention to detail while multi-tasking
  • Willing to educate customers and sell products and services
  • Learn and adapt to evolving technology needs
  • Work both independently and with a team

  • Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of e-commerce sales experience.
  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays) and regular attendance necessary
  • Must be able to move racks, bins and stock, and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
