SimplyLove Care, Inc. is currently seeking Direct Support Professionals for All Shifts.

Responsibilities of a Direct Support Professional:
This position is responsible for providing direct support, positive direction, and assistance to individuals in accordance with program policies and procedures; and personal outcome measures to lead a safe, self-directed life and to participate fully in their communities. To assist with activities of daily living as needed, and encourage attitudes and behaviors that enhance community inclusion. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you, may provide supports at home, work, and other places within community.

Direct Support Professional Skills:
To assist persons with developmental and intellectual disabilities with daily living skills that ensures a safe and meaningful environment which includes, but not limited to:

• Providing supports and services that are person-centered
• Ensuring and maintaining physical health and emotional well-being
• Being responsible and accountable
• Maintaining confidentiality
• Providing care with compassion, dignity and respect
• Support new relationships and maintaining existing relationships
• Encouraging independence
• Being an advocate for the person supported as needed
• Supporting and promoting community involvement

Job Location: Rutherford County

Required license or certification:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Driver’s License and valid auto insurance
• CPR/First Aid (a plus but must be able to successfully receive certification)
• Medication Administration (a plus but must be able to successfully receive certification)

Required education:

• High school or GED equivalent

Pre-employment (MUST):

• Criminal background check
