Pay for Employment and Community First, Direct Support Professionals:

• Salary: 14.00/Hour

Day to day activities and responsibilities include for Direct Support Professionals:

Employment and Community First is a program that focuses on assisting members in Community Integrated Support Services, Community Transportation, Independent Living Skills, Personal Assistance, Community Living Support/Family Model, Supportive Home Care and Respite. Members are encouraged to live with their family or in the community.

Direct Support Professionals will assist members with Dignity of Risk, Self Determination, Self Advocacy, and the fading of paid supports. DSP’s will empower members to partake in their own choices and live their life as independently as possible. DSP’s encourage members to have full community integration, improve skills for activities of daily living, and build and maintain relationships within their community.

Tennessee Personal Assistance, Inc. is a non-profit agency that provides support services to people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to serve people in our community who have intellectual disabilities or developmental disabilities by affording them opportunities to enjoy a purposeful and healthy quality of life that is safe and tailored to their individual needs and choices.
