Available Schedule: No late nights, Full-Time

BROAD SCOPE OF POSITION: Assist with preparation, serving and clearing of food. Responsible for the bussing and cleanup of all flatware, silverware, and glassware. Wash all dishes, pots and pans after each meal. Appropriately clean all floors, sinks, countertops, walls, etc. Always maintain a positive attitude and stress cleanliness.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

· Wash all dishes, cookware, flatware, utensils, and pots and pans.

· Properly maintain all dishwashing equipment.

· Bus tables in accordance with company policies.

· Maintain cleanliness of floors and equipment.

· Monitor water temperature and chemical compounds to ensure prevention of food borne illnesses and the spread of communicable diseases.

· Assist with preparation of meals as needed.

· Assist in serving food as needed.

· Pay attention to presentation, taste, and attitude during mealtimes.

· Attend any in-service training as required.

· Ensure compliance and understanding of residents’ rights.

· Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· Able to read, write, and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.

· Able to relate positively to residents, families, guests, and other personnel.

· Able to maintain reliable attendance on a designated schedule.

· Able to perform duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.

· Must be able to pass background check.

EXPERIENCE (PREFERRED):

· One year experience working in commercial kitchen

· Experience in senior housing or long term care helpful

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

(With or without the aid of mechanical devices)

· Climbing, reaching, bending

· Pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying

· Standing, walking

· Distinguishing smells, tastes, and temperatures

· Communicating with residents and staff

· Maintaining composure in stressful situations

· Ability to lift more than 25 lbs.
