Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing. The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled HSSE Director to join our El Dorado Arkansas refining team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in the petrochemical industry and a deep understanding of EHS regulations and compliance, including conducting investigations, promoting safety-conscious work performance and training programs, and providing safety performance measures. This role provides leadership to managers and professional staff, and is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams. The HSSE Director will develop departmental plans, including business, production, and/or organizational priorities, with decisions guided by resource availability and organizational objectives. Job Responsibilities:

  • Advise and inform management on EHS performance, compliance status, issues, and potential risks.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable EHS regulations and governmental orders.
  • Monitor facilities to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and implement compliance management systems.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and audits of EHS compliance and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.


Required Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 10 years of related experience, with at least 3 years in a management role.


Preferred Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:

  • Master's or MBA degree in a related field.
  • Leadership experience in the petrochemical industry.
  • Experience in the petrochemical industry.
