Job description

New Beginning Homes is looking for a direct care worker to work with one of our adolescent members in our group home on overnight shifts from Friday-Sunday, 11PM-9AM.

Responsibilities:

• Provide behavioral support to a single adolescent member
• Provide direct patient care in a group home setting for this member
• Communicate with the house nurse and co-workers about changes in the member's condition including vital signs, behaviors and physical symptoms
• Respond to changes in the member's behavioral status
• Accurately document observed behavior
• Keep the member's routine schedules on track, such as medication passes and appointments (including transportation by company vehicle)
• Ensures the member is prepared for their day (is ready to go to school/day program on time)

Schedule:

• Friday-Sunday, 11PM-9AM
• Rate: $15/hr

Qualifications:

• Minimum 18 years of age (REQUIRED)
• Fingerprint clearance card (REQUIRED)
• Negative TB test result (REQUIRED)
• Current driver's license (Preferred)
• High school diploma or GED (Preferred)
• Previous caregiving experience (Preferred)

*Training Certifications Needed:

• Article 9
• Prevention & Support
• CPR/First Aid

*If hired for the position, the group home will pay to have these trainings done

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
