Position Title: Dining Services Supervisor

Overview: The primary purpose of this position is to create an enjoyable dining experience for the residents, staff, and visitors in the dining areas in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations. Food shall be prepared and served in compliance with The Village’s established policies and procedures to assure that quality service is provided at all times. This position reports to the Dining Services Manager.

Essential Job Functions:

• Ensures a positive and enjoyable dining experience and carefully follows established procedures for merchandising, plate presentation, and service
• Supervises staff engaged in preparing or serving food
• Oversees service in dining room
• Trains all food service staff
• Resolves complaints and administers disciplinary action when necessary
• Evaluates and ensures food quality
• Arranges for equipment and maintenance repairs
• Responsible for assisting in providing a safe and sanitary working environment
• Promotes clean, safe and neat environment for customers, self, and staff; adheres to all safety and sanitation requirements
• Meet with clients / residents to plan special events
• Ensures special functions are serviced correctly
• Communicates any relevant issues, problems, or complaints to Director of Dining Services as necessary
• Maintain clean and professional appearance
• Adheres to company policies and procedures
• Attend departmental education and all required in-service training/education
• Maintain confidentiality of resident/family and facility information
• Respond to all fire alarms and assist in the evacuation of residents when needed
• Cooperate with staff of other departments when needed
• Represent the organization through professional demeanor and attitude
• Provide quality customer service in all interactions with residents, guests and staff
• Perform other duties as required

You Have:

• High School education or equivalent preferred
• Assisted Living/Memory Care experience preferred
• Prior server training and /or supervisory experience is helpful, but not required
• CPR and First Aide certification or eligible
• ServSafe Certified
