- Available open positions are 12 Hours Weekly, with every other weekend shifts
Our Waitstaff/Servers serve food and beverages to residents in accordance with established Benchmark policies and procedures and performs duties under the direction of the Dining Services Director, to assure that quality food services are provided to meet the needs of the residents.
Responsibilities:
- Takes food and beverage orders from residents and serves meals on a timely basis that are both presentable and appetizing in appearance.
- Sets up and delivers meal trays and food carts from the kitchen and dining room as instructed
- Handles requests from residents who require assistance with meal selection or have specific dietary needs
- Sets up dining room and tabletops for next scheduled meals
- Attends in-service training programs, seminars, and workshops as directed
- Must attend two full days of orientation
- Advises supervisor when foodservice supplies diminish for reordering
Requirements:
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
- Must have knowledge of dietary procedures, was well as related Health Department regulations and guidelines pertaining to food service operations
- Must be able to serve food and beverages for residents in a prompt and efficient manner
SAFETY AND SANITATION
- Follows safety regulations and precautions at all times
- Follows established Infection Control procedures when performing daily tasks
- Ensures that all food service areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner by assuring that necessary equipment and supplies are properly maintained
- Reports all hazardous conditions and equipment to your supervisor
- Reports all accidents to the Dining Services Director or the Executive Director
- Disposes of food and waste in accordance with established policies.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Lift up to 50lbs
- This is primarily a standing position where an employee may be required to stand in one place for extended periods of time. They also will be exposed to extreme heat and cold temperatures
