Flint Hills Technical College is seeking a full-time Design Instructor beginning with the Fall 2023 semester. The FHTC Design Instructor will provide instruction to students in the Graphic Arts Technology and Multimedia Design programs while creating a positive learning environment for instruction and assessment in both the classroom and distance learning settings. The instructor will teach students to visually communicate using graphic arts concepts to produce ideas, images, and messages along with perfecting technical skills in 3D animation, web content, storytelling, and the production workflow process for printing and video. To accomplish these tasks the Instructor must work closely with other faculty, staff, and administration of Flint Hills Technical College and the Board of Trustees.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of an Associate Degree in Graphic Arts, Multimedia Design, or a related field. A Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Arts, Multimedia Design, or a related field is preferred. This position requires two years experience within the related field or two years experience within education or teaching; experience with the use of various graphics software; must have layout design and animation software expertise and knowledge of graphics standards and techniques.

This full-time, 9-month position offers a salary range of $36,000-$48,000, commensurate with experience and education level, KPERS retirement plan, paid health insurance, as well as options for dental, vision, life, accident, cancer, and disability insurance.
