The Department Associate Advanced is responsible for all department associate functions and additionally is responsible for advanced management of insurance, benefits, eligibility, and authorization for the department's patients. In addition, the Department Associate Advanced provides other office support for the department and department leadership.

Responsibilities of these positions include:

  • Controls the department communication system by communicating effectively and professionally managing all aspects of the various programs and technology used by the department.
  • Coordinate, maintain and revise staff and/or patient schedules.
  • Accurately registers patients and verifies current insurance information.
  • Communicates and documents necessary information appropriately with patients, families, providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Maintains and orders office equipment and supplies.
  • Completes accurate payment collection, including co-pays, and provides necessary details to the Business Office.
  • Assures proper orders are received and activated or scanned, for all patients.

Requirements of these positions include:

High School Diploma or GED Required, 1 – 2 years of medical office experience, BLS or Heartsaver certification within 3 months of hire.

Location: Fort HealthCare · Laboratory
Schedule: Part Time, Day Shift, Mon - Fri days, some Saturday mornings
