Greene County Health Care is a Community Health Center providing comprehensive medical, dental and behavioral health services for members of our communities in Greene, Pitt and Pamlico counties in eastern North Carolina.
Job Summary
The Dental Assistant supports the delivery of oral health care by assisting dental providers, patients and families.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepares patients for the dental visit.
- Assists dentist during oral exam and treatment.
- Maintains dental instruments, operatories and equipment.
- Exposes and develops radiographs.
- Pours impressions and trims models.
- Orders and stocks supplies.
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting curriculum or at least 3,000 hours of full-time experience and the following certifications: X-ray Certification, Coronal Polishing Certification, Infection Control Certification.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English, with the ability to also effectively communicate verbally and in Spanish preferred.
