H.T. Hackney is a privately-owned, broad-line convenience store distributor who has served customers for over 130 years and is looking for an energetic and knowledgeable individual to join our Dayshift Warehouse Department as a Standup Forklift Operator and Stocker.
We are now accepting applications for a Standup Forklift/Stocker position based out of our Paducah, KY facility conveniently located off I-24 at Exit 3, Cairo Rd.
JOB DUTIES | What Exactly Will I Be Doing?
We receive up to 20 trucks a day with freight to fill our customers’ orders. You will be tasked with rotating, checking dates, stocking slots for order selectors, and lifting overstock in the air up to 30 ft. Cleaning and maintaining your aisles will also be a requirement of the job.
WORK SCHEDULE |
- Monday – Friday 5:30am-4pm. Some overtime is available
- We will work a handful of Saturdays during the year.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS | The Must Haves
- At least 1 year experience in a warehouse environment with Standup forklift experience.
- Must have keen focus on forklift safety. Able to identify best-practices and implement actions to remediate issues.
- Ability to use technology. (handheld devices for receiving)
- Food distribution background preferred
- Must be an effective verbal and written communicator
- Able to think quickly and stay focused on solutions
- Be a great listener when interacting with employees and supervisors.
- Works well with others, likes to problem-solve
- Dependable, punctual and work as scheduled
- Reliable transportation
- Pass pre-employment drug screen & physical
- Must be 18+ for consideration
