- Perform advanced data analytics to include complex SQL query development, strong data analysis, and using tools such as SQL Report Writer, Power BI and/or Navicat, etc.
- Lead analyst for mission critical district systems including systems such as PowerSchool, Enrich and Performance Matters
- ??Develop, maintain, and support reporting solutions as needed using a report designer tool.
- Develop, maintain, and support workflow solutions to route information between users, update data, and automate and improve processes.
- Develop, maintain, and support user security. Restrict user access by content and access type/rights.
- Develop, maintain, and support integrations with related district and state applications.
- Assess various data streams for accuracy and validity across the district.
- Create requested reports and ensure accuracy.
- Assist district departments with data necessary for compliance with accountability requirements.
- Assist district departments with their data analytics and system connectivity needs.
- Develop and implement dashboards and enterprise reporting.
- Technical areas include upgrades of software and system components, routine maintenance, IT support, and implementation of add on modules and components in both production and test
- environments.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of restricted data.
- Coordinate the archiving of SIS annual data with IT.
- Conduct assessments to identify critical needs and requirements for developing and improving solutions and or processes. as needed to satisfy business and user needs as well as improve user and system processes.
- ??Identify, track, and manage issues and user requests using collaborative tools. Keep key business owners and IT management apprised of open items on a regular basis. Work through open items in a timely manner and with vendor support as needed.
- Responsibility for full life cycle management for implementation of major upgrades, releases, and hotfixes which includes, but is not limited to, scope, schedule, test plans, issue resolution, stakeholder collaboration and communication.
- Assist with PR/Public Information to provide necessary/requested data to external audiences, including media.
- Prepares and conducts training to ensure accurate and timely data entry.
- Keep updated on current developments, future challenges/solutions related to State and Federal requirements
- ??Effectively interact, communicate and collaborate with all stakeholders for the purpose of meeting and supporting the goals of the department and the district.
- ??Ensure effective decision making, communication and prioritization of projects and tasks.
- ????District advocate and liaison with vendors and state agencies for needs, issues, enhancements, upgrades, new components, and product roadmaps.
- ??Participates in all professional meetings and training sessions as required.
- ??Attend user conference(s) to network with vendors and other customers/users, participate in training, present sessions, and seek opportunities for department and district improvement.
- ??Expands knowledge of existing hardware, software, and related technologies and processes and attains new skills as needed to keep pace with emerging technologies.
- Perform and promote all activities in compliance with equal employment and nondiscrimination policies of the Board of Education.

- Performs other related duties as required.
- Bachelor's degree, Masters preferred, in related field such as computer science, information technology.
- Five years of experience in related technology.
- Advanced knowledge of databases, queries, data analysis, and documentation.
- Extensive knowledge of system operations and data processing.
- Understand and appreciate the criticality of accurate and timely data as they relate to federal, state and local reporting, including financial aspects i.e. penalties for inaccurate or late reports.
- Ability to assist in the operations, availability, accessibility, and integrity of application systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee and student records and information.
- Experience in public education data reporting preferred.
- Bilingual skills preferred.
- Use strength to lift items needed to perform the functions of the job.
- Sit, stand and walk for required periods of time.
- Speak and hear.
- Use close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception along with the ability to focus vision.
- Communicate effectively in English, using proper grammar and vocabulary. American Sign Language or Braille may also be considered as acceptable forms of communication.

- Have regular and punctual attendance.

POSITION PURPOSE: To enhance the success of the Beaufort County School District by leading the internal collection and analysis of essential school, district, and student data, and to coordinate the effective distribution of data to appropriate parties both internal and external.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Director of Data Services, Chief Instructional Services Officer, Superintendent or other district office administrator as designated by the Superintendent.
