Scope of Position: The responsibilities of the Customer Support specialist are to work in close alignment with members of the Corning Life Sciences global distribution centers to ensure timely and effective management of the reserve to ship process. Delivering high quality, professional and consistent service this position is instrumental to the overall customer experience of our customers. In addition, the position interacts with internal customers across a variety of functions, such as quality assurance, Logistics Supply/Demand planning, and commercial when and where needed.


Duties and Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible to identify and remove obstacles for orders reserved not yet shipped
  • Monitor aging report and work with internal customers to remove obstacles preventing shipment such as holds, restricted material, etc.
  • Work with key customers to align with their order shipping expectations
  • Manages NA Hub 3P export shipping policy process and maintains purchase orders to support the initiative
  • Assist global regional order entry function to maintain purchase orders as needed
  • Operational and/or Project related work as assigned by supervisor
  • Identifies process gaps and escalates this to the Customer Support supervisor

Required:

  • 2 years’ work experience in a supply chain role
  • Associates degree or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Good knowledge of Excel

Travel Requirements: Limited to none


Hours of work/work schedule/flextime: Monday through Friday, 8 hour/day between the hours of 8:00 am and 6:00 pm
