Number of Hours: Part Time (25-35 per week), Seasonal (Spring – Fall)

Anticipated Start Date: May 17-24

Compensation: Begins at $12.00/hr, based on experience

Reports to: Site Manager/Asst. Site Manager

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Custodian - responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the Field Station: Dinosaurs campus. This includes keeping both indoor and outdoor spaces clean. The ideal candidate must be reliable and committed to excellent cleanliness. This person should have a history of following directions and be capable of working on their own. A flexible schedule is appreciated.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, office spaces, gift shop, concessions and other designated areas - to include outdoor areas
• Empty trash cans on a regular basis - indoor & outdoor
• Keep contact surfaces such as table tops, food surface areas, etc.clean
• Assist with bodily fluid cleanup as needed
• Keep outdoor areas free of trash, debris, and excess clutter
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap
• Notify site management of any equipment or supply needs
• Use cleaning chemicals in a safe and effective manner
• Comply with safety protocols and procedures
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with guests and employees
• Assist with minimal landscaping duties - such as removing debris, moving outdoor furniture, etc.
• Assist with miscellaneous site maintenance tasks as assigned and under the supervision of the Site Manager & Assistant Site Manager
• Additional tasks as needed - related to site maintenance or daily operation

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred, but not required - training & protective equipment will be provided
• Ability and stamina to physically perform required duties, including lifting, repetitive movement for cleaning, use of cleaning chemicals, & standing for extended periods of time during summer heat
• Desire to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Clear communicator with good interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures
• Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends required
