Job Summary:
This is an entry level position in the Credit Department. This individual will provide assistance to the Credit Officers.
Primary Duties:
- Spread and analyze business/agriculture and personal financial statements for existing and potential new clients. Assist Credit Officers to provide preliminary recommendation as to the feasibility of the credit request.
- Enter existing commercial and agriculture real estate properties in Financial Analyzer including property information, loan information, appraisal information, and the financial spreads.
- Maintain the commercial real estate property loan information in Financial Analyzer including updating the loan information for renewals, modifications, and paid-off loans.
- Spread interim financial statements of existing clients and prepare trend card analysis to determine if the customer is in compliance with loan covenants. If not, bring this to the attention of the credit officer or lender for further review.
- Assist with Small Commercial Lending review to include spreading of financial statements in Financial Analyzer as well as credit parameter input, collateral review, and scorecard completion within Credit Quest.
- Prepare various lending administration reports on a periodic basis.
- Assist with portfolio stress testing within Credit Quest on a periodic basis.
- Prepare annual credit reviews per loan policy requirements for existing customers.
- Maintain the review process for the FNMA portfolio by updating the financial spreads in Financial Analyzer and completing Annual Review submissions within the FNMA system. This position will serve as the primary contact within the credit department for FNMA correspondence.
- Submit the RMA Submissions on an annual basis.
- Assist Credit Officers in preparing loan committee presentations for new and existing customers as time permits.
- In conjunction with the Agriculture/Business bankers and credit officers, sit in on interviews with prospective small, midlevel, and large business loan customers in an effort to learn processes to make a preliminary determination as to the nature and feasibility of a credit request.
- Assist with training new hires within the credit department on various systems utilized by the credit team.
- Observe in loan committees when appropriate.
- Know by name and face as many customers and employees as possible, calling them by name as often as possible.
- Know and practice LOCBUTN, our Golden Rules, and Bell Bank Customer Service Standards.
- Know, understand, and live the company values and bottom line.
- Conduct activities consistent with established Bell Bank policies, procedures and systems, the Bell Bank Employee Conduct policies, the Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
