Job description

Rising Sun Montessori School is seeking a Teacher for the 2023-24 academic year to foster and facilitate the intellectual and social development of the children. Teaching this class includes planning, implementing lessons and assessing students' progress. You will teach children with patience and creativity. Teacher duties include designing a teaching plan and using activities and instructional methods to motivate children.

Responsibilities

• Design and follow a complete teaching plan
• Organize learning materials and resources
• Use a variety of activities and instructional methods to motivate and stimulate children’s abilities
• Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide appropriate information
• Assess students performance and progress to ensure they are mastering the skills on regular basis
• Monitor children’s interactions and nurture cooperation and sharing
• Cooperate with administration staff
• Follow and comply with teaching standards and safety regulations

Skills

• Excellent knowledge of child development and latest education theories and practices
• Knowledge and understanding of the Montessori framework
• Creative and artistic teaching abilities
• Patience and flexibility
• Strong communication skills

RSMS is a growing charter school within the Buckeye Union School District located in El Dorado Hills, California. It is a beautiful small suburban community in the Sacramento area, within two hours of San Francisco (to the west) and the beautiful Sierras and Lake Tahoe (to the east). Candidates should be enthusiastic about working at a Montessori charter school. In addition, candidates should have a passion for working with children and families, and a clear understanding and working experience with the Montessori Method.
