Young Scholars Academy is looking for a college counselor to help guide students in the right path, whether it be to the college of their dreams, or helping them decide what they should do with their future as young adults.

Responsibilities:

• Guide students through their academic and extracurricular work and ultimately, the college admissions process.
• Offer advice regarding choice of career/major, coursework, college selection, and all related areas that compose a successful high school career.
• Help students navigate and fill out the UC, CSU and Common Application
• Help students brainstorm ideas and edit college admissions essays

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from a top university.
• Graduate degree(s) preferred although not required.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Experience as a college counselor is preferred.
• Solid follow-through skills and detail oriented.
• Bilingual: fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and English is a plus!
• Enthusiasm!

About our company: Young Scholars Academy offers individualized tutoring and college counseling for K-12th grade students. We provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in all subjects, including AP and Honors courses. We create customized tutoring plans for each student based on his or her unique learning profile. Our goal is to help our students reach their full academic potential!

- Monday to Saturday 10:00am - 6:00pm (Summer Business Hours: 6/10/19-8/10/19)

- Regular Business Hours: Monday to Friday 2:00-9:00pm, Saturday 9:00am - 6:00pm

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
